HR511 conversions from App tracking system

We are going to import new hires from HealthCare Source's Position Manager to Lawson S3 using HR511

Any advice regarding setting the parameters on the HR511? Lessons learned. I am particularly interested in which way you set your update history parameter and the Mass Load Processing parameter.

I haven't used HR511 for a while, we load to PR52.4. I believe there is a way to have it create Personnel Action History. That's important because without it your Personnel Action History drill around is incomplete.

We bring all our new-hires from our applicant tracking system into PA31.1 - Applicant, then hire them on PA52.4, so we have complete personnel action history.

You can control the history with the update history button on the HR511.

Margie, we implemented PM in 2013. I think the go-live was one of the quickest and easiest I've ever been through, by far. I'm open to speaking directly to you if you'd like for any questions you may have about our process. We use onboarding as well and interface documents to our document management system.

Yvonne, I would be interested to hear more about this, too. It would be great to not only pull and set up new hires, but also upload documents like their resume (I didn't know it was possible through this).

Morning! It's been awhile, but a former employer used the HR511 via an export from their applicant tracking system, Peoplefluent. It worked great. We logged history to create HRHISTORY and I don't believe the Mass Load made a difference as employees came across in the dozens vs. en masse. We utilized a Interim Hire status and the Onboarding team would do a final PA52 to "activate" the new employee upon successful start.

My main concern is with how the history is logged. Is it logged with a chosen effective date or the date the HR511 is run? If you add an employee on the HR11 directly, the effective date is chose by the user and we use the hire date for that field so all history begins as of that date. Otherwise HRWRITER reports with as of requests could be skewed.

If I remember correctly, there's an effective date field in the HR511 CSV. This would be the date the populates the BEG_DATE (effective date) in HRHISTORY.

I believe we programmed the date to export as the employee's hire date.
