Looking for someone who has Cerner/Surginet interfacing with Lawson

Hello!

We are in the process of installing clinical application Cerner's Surginet system. Looking for anyone who might also have this system and interfaces inventory from Surginet to Lawson who would be willing to discuss the set up and processes you use.

I can only speak to the Lawson side of things, but we have Surginet and actually have several interfaces running to and from Lawson. We have a modified IC527 interface running to Surginet to get and keep the item master synced. We also have several IC500 interfaces running from Surginet back to Lawson. We have scripts set up that take the input file from Cerner, massage it a bit to keep garbage out of Lawson, and then do an IC500 job to import the inventory usage.

Again, I'm not at all familiar with the processes that have to occur on the Surginet side of things.

Greg we are in process of actually purchasing this product, like Marcia asked would you be willing to talk to our Supply Chain Manager? Also where are you located if you are close to Missouri our Supply Chain folks would possible like to do a site visit to see how you physically manage your OR inventory.

We are in Davenport, Iowa.. so not that far from Missouri.... I would be willing to talk with your supply chain folks, but right now we have a Lawson production down issue that I need to deal with.

One thing that we've found (and worked very hard to get it this way)..... anytime you are going to interface items into or out of Lawson, you really need to have them in lowest UOM possible... You can have all of the conversion factors in IC11 or is it IC12, but if EA or Piece or whatever the item comes in should be in the item master.
