We are doing this, but, this is not easy for us. We use a custom program to massage the single input file into 4 Lawson input files, for GLTRANSREL, CBCTRANS, APCINVOICE, and APCDISTRIB. Input screens are, in Windows/UNIX, AP52/AP152, CB50/CB185, and GL65/165. I inherited this when I started working at my current job almost 4 years ago. It took me over 3 years to get the logic working right, as there are many special cases that can occur.

I am curious to know which application you used to build the custom program and are you using IMDBB? or importdb in LID?

We have been using importdb but because of non-visible error messaging we are switching to IMDBB now.

The application is written in some sort of visual BASIC and it pre-dates me. We have outsourced the programming so I have never seen the source code. What I maintain is the updated logic diagrams ... very hard to understand but I have gone over them so many times now that they are beginning to make sense. Basically they dictate the complex logic to follow in creating the input files, because different Concur conditions make for different data input, and have to be dealt with differently. Originally the logic was straight-forward but is now quite complicated.
