ACA Transmission Rejection - AIRSH100

Hello! I've had a few of my ACA submissions reject due to the AIRSH100 error. They are all on employee addresses. Some of them I can tell have extra spaces but others I cannot figure out what is wrong with it. I've been trying to use the XML reader to verify the data against the IRS Schemas but I'm not understanding what the results are telling me. I'm following the KB on validating XML Files Schema but it just says to "work through any errors generated." How does the XML reader show me errors?

Has anyone else had these errors and figured out how to fix them? Appreciate any insight!

I can't really address the xml readers, but sometimes it is easier to edit it in something like Notepad++. I found the extra spaces, as well as apostrophes that look fine in the XML, but are really control characters that have to be cleaned up. Of course, if editing the XML file in Notepad++ you must then use a tool to get the new MD5 checksum and file size (such as the website http://onlinemd5.com/) to put in the MANIFEST XML lines for file size and checksum aug.

Our address issues last year fell into 4 categories:

2 Space Extra spaces exist between words

# Space Space exists between # and apartment number

& & symbol exists

Zero Zero was used instead of “O” in Omaha

I have submitted our files yet for this year so who knows what new issues there will be.

How did you fix your address issues last year?

We had some of those issues this year. We went to the HR11 and fixed them and reran the BN299. We had a few dependent names with an extra space. For those we needed to go the the BN96 and corrected. We did not want to rerun BN990. We also corrected on HR13 so they would be fine gong forward.

We used the same method as Margie - fixed employee addresses on HR11, reran BN299.

Thank you all for the guidance! Some of my submissions only had one or two address errors so I fixed those on the XML, got a new checksum number and resubmitted successfully. A couple of a lot of address issues so I'll have to work through those on HR11 and then re-run.

We had our 1095-C rejected today for ' POBox 883' when it should have been 'PO Box 883'. Am I correct in thinking that we just need to remove the blank space in HR11 and then rerun BN299? Do I need to worry about the transmission receipt number that was generated today or just resubmit the rerun of BN299? thanks

We have AIRSH100 errors and have them corrected on HR11. This may be a silly question but at this point I prefer to ask then assume... Should the BN299 be rerun as an Original or Replacement?
