Sick Leave Plan- hours based accrual

Does anyone have a sick leave plan that is set up using hours based acrrual? If so would you be willing to share screen shots of your LP set up? Our sick leave plan is currently set up using the cycle based accrual table and we are looking to make a change.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for but one of our sick plans is an hours based accrual but we still use the cycle based accrual table and just use 1 line without any cycles indicated.

Hello, would you be able to send me screen prints of your set up? We have a sick plan that needs accures 1 hour of sick time after 40 hours of work. Is this how your plan is set up?

Hi, your plan sounds like one of those new requirements to provide sick leave to all employees. I set one up for a Philadelphia city requirement. I attached the LP201 (I hope it works, I've never tried that), which shows all the configuration (faster than screen printing everything). It's been in place for a couple of years with no issues, so it's working for us, but please be sure to test it thoroughly because you may have to tweak it to make changes for your organization. The Philly plan has maximums and rollover limits which you may have to change or may not need.

I see that you're a public sector organization, if that means you are a school district, you're dealing substitutes, which probably means you're going to have lots of people who are eligible, then not eligible, then eligible again. If that is so, you will probably need to develop procedures for identifying these situations and overriding dates on the LP31.

Hello, wondering if you could tell me if your sick plan above accrues for all hours worked in a pay period or if it can accrue say 1 hour of sick time for a specific number of hours. The new plan that we are trying to set up allows a 1 hour accrual for every 40 hours worked, with no fractional accruals. We are having issues with setting up the plan to do this. I have opened a case with Lawson and am still waiting for a reply from them. Any information that you might have would be greatly appreciated!

The accrual calculation formula multiplies hours by 0.025. We didn't try to omit fractional hours and I can't think of how you'd do that. Can you send an example of hours worked and how you want the accrual to calculate?

No our plan is set up to accrue at a rate of .0385 per hour for hours in Service Class ACS with a max of 3.3334 hours per pay period. This equates out to be 80 hours/year for a 1.0 on semimonthly. If an employee works less than 40 they still accrue.

We have a vacation leave plan that gives allotments in hours but we have to round it up to the half day. We couldn't figure out a way to do so we created a process flow that would run after payroll and email payroll a list of those who received allotments so they could review and do LP70s when needed.

Could you use the rate posted by "1303488" of .025 and then on LP02 use the rounding hours method of "Low" with Round to of 1.0? I have no idea if this would work but it makes me wonder if we could use this to automate our rounding and do "high" with round to of "4". Let me know if you try it for rounding yours down to the nearest whole hour!
