Patch types?

I'm fairly new to Lawson so I don't know this yet and I have searched Xtreme and can't find much explanation. CTPs are simple, what are these two patch types? I see they both contain jar files and I've read through the Infor Core Technology Installation guide-Unix and Linux and have a decent understanding of how to install them at least on the LSF side of things on Unix.

So is this the tech patch, it clearly relates to the version of HPUX we are running?
LSFCT_HP1131_10000900P41197.zip

And then what about this one, Ming.le patch?
XML_10000900P41358.zip

yes, LSFCT is the core technology patch and XML is the portal patch

Is the installation procedure the same for both patch types?

yes, it is.

The method to install it is the same, but the process is not. You have to run the portal patch twice. First time is for the first selection button (this is on the "Installation Packages" screen) for "Infor Lawson for Ming.le", and then you run it again for the second option "Lawson for Ming.le Web Server". And I guess maybe it depends on your configuration, but we have to copy the entire updated wwwrootenvnameLawson folder from our app server to the webserver.
