How to use $LAWDIR variable on the Input File field on the File Access node?

I have tried using $LAWDIR and LAWDIR. Neither worked.

Any suggestions?

Create a variable with the same text value as the $LAWDIR directory text. For example strLAWDIR = String Value = "/lawson9/law/"

Then in the File Access node simply call the variable <!strLAWDIR>

You can also setup the File Access nodes to specify those variables.

Then you would just call $LAWDIR and $GENDIR.

Please explain this further. I tried to reference $LAWDIR in the Input File field and it did not expand to its value. My hope is to have a flow which can be used by multiple product lines without have to hardcode anything.

Since we use standard names (ie %LAWDIR% for PROD is lsfprodlaw and for TEST is lsftestlaw), we can use the standard IPA appProdline variable to build the path:

As an example, variable FileDir is defined on the Start node to equal "E:\lsf" +appProdline+ "\law\"+appProdline+"\work\CB170POSPAY\"

Another option, for those folks who have prodlines that aren't exactly the same (like we have lsfdev, sand, and prod) you can create a configuration variable in PfiConfiguration for LAWDIR and then reference that config variable in the flow.

For example, in PfiConfiguration under "main" (or whatever record makes sense) add a variable named "LawDir" and then reference it in the flow as _configuration.main.LawDir.
