IPA - approval via email on TA Requisitions

Is it possible to approve actions via email from IPA?

For example, Manager submits a Job Requisition requests and it routes to the Requisition Approver (which is typically Director level).

Director has to sign in to Manager Space to go to Inbasket to approve.

It would be nice if they could approve from the email.

I'm reading through the IPA manual and some things seem to make me think you can.
I just need to do research ahead of time before reaching out to those in our department that do the actual IPA administration.

In the action node properties, Notify tab, check the "Allow actions via email" box.

The actions will show at the bottom of the email notification.

We have been testing this out and it works well. You can also adjust the submission message (after button pressed) in the Rich Client.

Though, I do wish there were more options with those email approval buttons. For example, relative position on email. Workunit to approval buttons link to allow for a list of outstanding items to be created and the approval buttons on the line to the left or right of the requisition number.

Is there set up to make the buttons appear? Just clicking that box on the IPA doesn't have the buttons appear in the email. Thinking I may have to do some setup somewhere???

Hi Annette, did you also check the HTML content box? You will also need to have that box checked to make them appear.

Yes, that is the only way you can check the box for allowing actions via email

FYI.. we had a Landmark update from 10.1.1.51 to .58 last week and I tried this again and it worked. No clue what was wrong but it's working now simply by checking the boxes.
