How to add 'Reason Subject' on UA node

I am trying to require a comment in my req approval flow when someone rejects a requisition. If I check the 'Reason comment required' box, it tells me to 'Please select a Subject'. I can't figure out where the 'Reason subject' list is created and you can't free text one. Thanks!

I am unable to offer a solution.....but if anyone else saw the IPA -related webinars that were done by RPIC today, wasn't this just explained by Jeff House (JHOUSE@RPIC.COM) and Jeremy Stoltzfus (JSTOLTZFUS@RPIC.COM) during today's webinar ?

...there is so much to IPA and I am still learning and digesting it all, so I will be following this thread for any comment or answer to lbunchek's question.

By the way, the RPIC webinars were excellent.

This is accomplished via Configuration Console.

"Reason Subjects" are added via the "Configure Application" portion of Configuration Console within the "Data Area" menu.

Once a subject is added via configuration console, then 'child' reasons for a particular subject can be added in the "Action Reason" business class (use the search feature in RichClient to look for "action reason") for a given data area.

Thank you for the response. So now my confusion is amongst data areas. We do not have configuration console for lsapps data area which is where req approval process flows runs under. Therefore, I cannot add this "Reason Subject" under lsapps. I was able to add it under GEN data area but then it doesn't pull into my UA node - I believe because the UA node is associated w/ lsapps. The security role for configuration console does not specify data areas so we're thinking it's not available in lsapps. I think I'm missing something here.

I am now wondering if my req approval flow should be in the lmghr data area. I can access the subject field on my UA node if I log into IPA under data area lmghr. Could anyone using req approval let me know what data area they use? Thanks!

Security/Access-to the configuration console is data area specific.

It's all controlled by security in Landmark.

You can give someone access to it in one data area, but not another. If you don't see it in a specific data area, your Landmark security person should be able to open it up for you in that data area.

Thank you for the information. I also got some help from RPI, and it is now working.

"You’ll need to add a role in Landmark and assign the built-in GlobalUIConfigAccess_ST security class to it. Below are two slides from the IPA for HCM presentation which gives a little more info."
