Applying for jobs from Indeed site via TA

Wondering if anyone else is having this issue. Ours has been undetected until recently but believe it's been an issue since we went live.

We had to have 'Indeed' add the context stuff when they 'scrape' out site.

Candidates get to the posting just fine but if they are a new user and when clicking Apply Now and then Create New User, they get error that HR Organization is required.

I have a case open with support but thought I would reach out on here as well.

How did you notice this? Did someone (external) report it or found while testing or ???

If this is not working for this case, are there any cases/scenarios were it does work?

What if you by pass Indeed?

Someone in our Marketing Dept was confident to be expecting someone to apply for a job and she hadn't noticed the application.

Then reached out to some people and found out about the error.

Same situation if we copy the url and paste/post it on Linkden , Facebook, etc...

Email to a friend... I had the same issue but now I can't reproduce it this week...

Last week we closed the Support ticket because support couldn't recreate it and I couldn't get it to recreate issue.

Yesterday a call got routed to me from external candidate that had the issue from the posting I included in this post. And I walked him through the work around to go to our main jobs site and search for the job and then apply/create user.

I then cleared my IE cache and walked back through it and had same issue.

Support indicated "Per our development team, the results that the recruiters are getting is expected when doing a copy and paste. It is not recommended process. You cannot copy the JobPosting URL and paste it into an email and expect it to work. The problem with this scenario is that the context session keys will not be included in that URL and will result in the error you are listing here. This issue is well known and has been around for some time."

But I don't understand the support/development update.. they get to the posting fine.. issue is after they click to apply now when the context is dropped.. .

We have the same issues with external sites that scrape our job posting boards and in another scenario, the recruiters were copying the URL from the address bar and sending it to candidates. The recruiters need to use the Send to a Friend option to capture all context fields required when the candidate registers. We do not have this issue with another external job board to which we provide a file of job postings XML.

Everyone.. just thought I would share with you the root cause of our issue with Ineed incase you all have the same issue.

You need to speak with Indeed and have them add context/token to the url for anything they scrape. We thought we had this correct before as we could see the HR Org 100 in the url but it then dropped after going to apply now.

Needed them to add "&context.session.key.HROrganization=100&context.session.key.JobBoard=EXTERNAL "

note this is our org #, so you would need to have them replace it with yours and if your job board is called something else.
