Mingle and iNotes

Anyone using Mingle with Lotus iNotes as the e-mail client? It's a web based e-mail (ruins it's own tab or in another browser window), and every time a user logs out of Mingle, their connection to iNotes is broken and they have to re-authenticate to keep it running, not sure what Mingle logout does to cause that.

I have noted that problem with Ming.le running under IE11. Logout in Ming.le logs me out of every other running application. Not sure why, but the other applications are running under a form of DSSO similar to Lawson Security's bind. There may be a patch for this, I thought I saw a few months back. Try putting in an incident and see if there's a patch update. Myself, my company is moving everyone over to Smart Office, and we are deprecating Ming.le, so it's not such an issue.

How large is your expected user community for Smart Office? What type of users will be using Smart Office? How do you plan to manage Smart Office?

I've seen this behavior with a lot of sites, not just Ming.le. It depends on how the site developers created the logoff functionality. Some of them do enough destruction to your session that it will make other site sessions unusable. I've seen this if you have multiple banking websites up in the same browser session.

Your best bet is to open a new IE session for your Mingle than the one that has iNotes open (right-click task bar and click Internet Explorer or File -> New Session). This should keep the sessions separate.

We started with a 20-user license, and we are now filling in another 20-user license. We started with financial and purchasing users. The newer users are those who use Lawson less often, mostly for queries. I don't do much management. The most important work was to set up keyboard shortcuts restoring some critical key sequences to mimic LID functionality. I put them all into a standard PortalRole File which each Smart Office user must get.
