BN17.5 salary type for Life and LTD plans

Both our Life and LTD plans use a custom calculation for the salary type on the BN17.5. The life plan is 1 times your salary and the LTD is 40% of your salary. We are upgrading to v10 in the cloud. The BN100 is not adding or stopping these plans when a personnel action is processed. Could the custom calculation be causing the BN100 errors. I would like to know if you use a custom calculation for these types of benefit plans or select another salary type option such as benefit salary. Thanks for any feedback.

We use benefit salaries but our coverage is based on your earnings over the previous 12 months. We run a report in Access each month to pull the pay details and then use add-ins to update the benefit salaries. The BN102 runs to update the coverage based on the new benefit salary.
