BN16.3 Effective Date and BN16.4 Stop Date

We have change and termination rules that the BN100 uses to end benefit plans on the BN32.1.  We currently use the personnel action effective date when the personnel action is status change.  The date is added without issue, however we would like to end the benefit the day before the personnel actoin effective date.  Has anyone used a custom calculation on the BN16.3 or BN16.4?

To get our benefits to end at the correct time we use the last day in the previous status as the effective date on personnel actions. Then if benefits end on the PA effective date or End of Month, the benefit is stopped based on the last day in a benefit-eligible status rather than the first day in the new status. We customized verbiage on the personnel actions screen in manager self-service to tell supervisors what date to use as the effective date.
