Help with Lawson Security

We have a flow written through ESS that updates a user field. Employees get a Security Violation when trying to complete the form.

If we add TBL-HREMPUSF "ALL ACCESS" to the ESS security role will that work? Or do we need more security? Our sys admin is on vacation

so we are trying to get something going tomorrow.

We have a separate security role for ESS table access. When ESS needs access to a table, we add the following rule:

user.getEmployeeId()==lztrim(table.EMPLOYEE)

If true, ALL ACCESS, Else NO ACCESS

This rule restricts ESS table access to the employee's records only. Granting blanket ALL ACCESS provides access to any employee's record in the table.

Thank you. We have that limit on now but are still unable to get the ESS user access to write to a user field. Do your ESS users have write access to a user field?

We don't update user fields through ESS. Have you reviewed the lase_server*.log file for "ACCESS DENIED"? This is the log I review when I need to determine why a user is receiving a Security Violation.
