I am hoping you can share info to help in the redesign of how we create position number strings. If you can’t answer all the questions, any answers would be helpful.
- Do you use smart coding in your position number? If yes, what is contained in the position number string? (currently, we have entity+dept+job code)
- Are your positions one to one or one to many? i.e. – every employee has their own distinct position number OR multiple employees share a position number
- Does it work/not work? Challenges/opportunities
- Do you have feeds into other systems that use the position number? i.e. Kronos, position manager, SuccessFactors, etc. if so, what systems?
