We are interested in how organizations of over 14,000 handle the reporting structure hierarchy in Lawson. Our positions are numeric on the PA02 and use 2 digit entity, 4 digit dept. and 5 digit job code. We use the HR07 for supervisor as well as indirect supervisor. Our positions are one to many and we use defaulting.
We are running into issues when we need to have a position report to multiple supervisors. We have been creating additional job codes to accommodate this and since the job code is in the position scheme, we create another position. This is causing, in some cases to have 10 different job codes for the same job.
