Environment slow

I have two environments running on same AIX server and with Oracle databases on the same server. Still 9.0.1 version. However, one environment's response is slow, another one is normal. I even pointed them to the same database, still same issue. What could be the cause for response slow for the environment? Thanks in advance.

Some straws to grasp at: One, temp files are stored in directory $LAWDIR/<productline>/work . When there are a sufficient amount of them, more than a few thousand, it can seriously slow a system's response. The time necessary to simply store a directory entry increases exponentially with the large number of files, and thus slows things down. Two, if you have any kind of virus scanning, be sure to set up exclusions for _all_ Lawson directories. That can also slow things down. Sorry I can't think of any others, those are what comes to mind. I've been using a Windows host for a few years now, and those two are things that give me trouble, however they also apply to AIX.

Along those same lines, when was the last time the job logs were purged (deljobhst)?

when was the last time the servers was restarted? Even though *nix memory clean up is better than Windows, we have seen that: most memory is cleaned up by recycling Lawson, but occasionally the entire system needs to be cycles to clean up the inter-process connections, database pools, java threads, zombie processes or orphans, etc.

Thanks for all your replies. Memory is not the issue. I also cleaned up all completed jobs. I have two environments running on the same server. in PO30 when scroll through each record, one environment got instant response, another environment took about 3 seconds. Also the lapm command lakes longer to display the form. It has to do something with environment.

LOL. It was due to debug enabled.
