Replacement to importdb in the cloud

We are moving to the cloud on V10. We were told that importdb is no longer an option in the cloud. We use this to load journal entries and some invoices. How do others load journal entries if not using importdb. I know addins is an option but would like to pursue alternatives.

Interesting......what version are you using and what platform? We are windows, V10. We have some programs on premise that write to GLTRANSREL directly. We can no longer do that and we were told importdb won't work anymore either.

We've been on the Infor Cloud Windows LSF 10.0.7 Apps 10.0.6 since Oct 2016 and we have R/W rights to all DB interface tables. We have interfaces that write to AR, AP, GL, PO. We have no issues interfacing to Infor/Lawson from 3rd party sources.

We are windows also- I'm assuming 10 but not positive. Have you tried going to the IMDBB form in the cloud?

We are now cloud-based and have switched from importdb to IMDBB. I do not know the reasoning for why you were told that you "can't use importdb in the cloud" but it may have to do with the lack of LID access for 10x and higher. There are 2 ways to use importdb when in the cloud:

1) Use importdb in a script that is called as a User Token. Works great.

2) Use IMDBB instead. This works as a regular form. 'Under the hood', IMDBB calls importdb!

Thank you all for your responses. I am familiar with IMDBB. Maybe that is what they were referring to.....importdb may be replaced with IMDBB. I have asked them for clarification.
