We are testing creating positions. We are running into issues with trying to key personnel actions prior to positions being assigned or turned on (for late/retro paperwork). We have tried a variety of things like making the position rule effective a few months ago, modifying the HR10 screen to not require positions, *BLANKing the position on the action and then creating another action to assign the position back on the position effective date, turning off the position rule and then turning it back on. I have reviewed KB 1212103 to try to get around the error/warnings. If anyone has any suggestions of how best to navigate this it would be appreciated!
