Customizing the Infor CRM Schedule Activity Screen in the web client

Hello everyone,

In the past, it has been possible to customize the activity schedule screens in Infor CRM. Since the introduction of Infor CRM 8.3 though, we have lost the ability to add new fields in to the schedule activity screen in the web client. No matter what we try, it just seems to ignore anything we enter.

Attached is a guide we previously used that focussed on modifying this area. Following the steps advised in here no longer seem to work though.

We do have clients that have had modifications to these screens that are looking to upgrade to 8.3 web. This will be a sticking point for them if we are unable to bring their customisations to these areas in to the latest version.

Hi,

I did some customizations, example I added a new lookup on the scrreen.

But I am not overwriting the service, I attach to the apropriate functions of the existing service.

This seems to work.

What are you trying to do on the screen?

Hi Alex,

Really keen to see how you affected a change on the activity entity. Unfortunately I don't think your attachment is here.

For the customer in question, they have a new tab added to the activity screen as well as an additional button that allows them to print a report from the context of an activity.

Hi,

Well I have a javascript which does some activity customizations.

As said, I am not overwriting the activity service, but I attach to it.

So if you want it, just drop me an e-mail and I can send it to you.

Or search the web for customizing activity editor. You should find an article from Nickolas Galler where he points out how to do it.
