Windows authentication with Office 365 account

We have migrated our user windows accounts to Office 365 and published Infor CRM application using MS application proxy (below link) Windows authentication works fine through the 365 portal published app link (yay) When logging on to the local LAN directly and opening local Infor address (http://localhost:3333/SLXClient) version takes us straight to Infor log out page - i.e. windows authentication doesn't work.

Does anyone have any thoughts / experience on this set up?

This may not be your specific issue....but in our experience just going to /slxclient when using windows auth doesn't work very well. You have to usually have the page set to /slxclient/windows.aspx or one of the main entity pages like /slxclient/account.aspx

Maybe this will address your issue.

Thanks Anosh - should of been more specific but yes, we are using /windows.aspx page and getting the log off page.

Also, the reason I think it is related to the office 365 profile is that logging on as the WebDLL user onto the server and opening the page locally, windows authentication works. The WebDLL user has obviously not been given an Office 365 account.

Hi,

Maybe the issue is the domain name, in this case localhost.

So maybe you need to configure a local dns entry for the server which has the same name as the external one, which I assume from your post works fine.

Very interesting that this works.

Can you explain in more details how did you do the ICRM stuff like mapping the user accounts?

I will definetly have a look at your link, but maybe you can summarize a little what you have done and maybe where we have to be carefuly to avoid errors.

Mapping user accounts just done through the administrator as standard. These have been set up for the LAN client for years with no issues and still working for LAN. In fact, we haven't cut users over the web as yet as we are only just starting to migrate our customization over. We have been using SData portal just for integrations so have not had the need to set up windows authentication for web until now.
