Looking for Documentation to setup grants each year

We have struggled since we went live January 2016 with setting up new grants in the S3 10 system each grant season. We have reviewed the grant user guides and all the documentation we can gather. We received some training as we were implementing, but nothing that we have been able to use moving forward. Does anyone have a checklist they use to setup their grants? Even if it is personalized we would love to see what others are using and maybe we can see what we might be doing out of order or missing to make our documentation more complete.

We use AC activities for our grants and use GM for the reporting and labor components. We also use AR and BR for the revenue, billing and accounts receivable piece. We do not use the GM Billing configuration for our grants. You didn't mention AC so I assume you are using the GM Billing configuration. The GM Billing did not exist when we implemented in 2006 and we have not done much digging into it so I would be no help on it. My email is vphillips@sblhs.org. I have been working with Kara Sanders in our accounting department on this KLSanders@sblhs.org. We do not use BR but are happy for any steps taken to setup your grants. We can weed out what doesn't work. We are going to be sitting down with her next grant and using notes as well as some manuals and anything we can gather to make a good step by step for future grants.
