We moved from AIX to Linux this last weekend and have been dealing with quite a few challenges. One of the recent ones is with printing. We run WH130 multiple times during the day and we print the pick slips through the Auto print process. It was working fine in AIX (for several years). We have been using Genicom printers for all this time as well (the old dot matrix printers). Since the move to Linux - when there is a break between batches (so one auto print job completes and then the next one starts printing) - the printing is not going to the top of the next page. It starts printing immediately following the end of the last pick ticket for the previous batch that printed.
We had to redo all of our printers in prtdef and give them all new commands because the Linux commands are different than the AIX commands. We are wondering if it has something to do with this.
As soon as I get the name of the print queue (I'm waiting for the users to get into the office) - I will provide what the old AIX prtdef command was as well as the new Linux prtdef command.
I just wanted to get this out there in case anyone has any thoughts.
Thanks in advance,
Laura
