Our organization is moving to Epic Revenue Cycle for our hospital billing. We currently use Star. We recently learned that the Epic Hospital Billing (HB) product does not have functionality for non-patient cash posting. In Star, our cashiers post both patient and non-patient cash and agree their totals to a deposit ticket that is sent to the bank. Examples of non-patient cash are: cafeteria receipts, coffee shop sales, gift shop sales. Since Epic HB does not have functionality for posting this cash and creating the required general ledger entry, what others options are Epic clients using for posting non-patient cash?
