HR06-Job Code and HR11

Hello,

We are in the process of changing titles for some positions on HR06-Job Code; however, when I give the job code a new effective date and change the title the Job Code field on HR11 is automatically changed without any actions. I can't figure why this is happening. I'm I missing a setup? I need to be able to change the Job Code on HR06, run an action and change the HR11 with the new job code name and of course the new effective date of the change.

Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.

The description of the job code is not stored on HR11 - it's pulled from HR06. Do you use positions (PA02)? When we have job title changes, we update HR06 like you are. We also add a new position record on PA02. This adds a new position record to the employee. The personnel action triggered by the PA02 change has a reason code indicating there was a title change.
