We recently added a HSA plan to our health coverages and was able to set it up to go through open enrollment. During Open enrollment, employees can pick the annual amount they wish to contribute to the HSA. We are now looking at ways to use ESS for benefit changes outside of Open Enrollment if the employee decides to change their contribution amount throughout the year.
We have our HSA setup as a DC plan that allows a employee to contribute and we want to be able to allow them to change the annual amount through ESS. We also have a 457 plan that is DC and we hope to be able to allow this to be managed through ESS all year.
Has anyone used ESS to allow employees to change Annual contribution amounts for a DC plan as needed throughout the year? Is it possible? We have not found much information on the subject.
We looked at Life events and understand that Lawson does not have the option to create a new Life event. What other ways can ESS be used to modify certain benefits?
We are currently using version 10 software.
