Unable to install Lawson MOA (Addins) on WIN 10 pcs.

Tried everything. So far Lawson Support has been no help.

To clarify - this is MOA64.exe, the latest version that is available. It installs, but I am unable to get the addins to show up in Excel.

Looking at the install guide...number 4 - when I do that, I see no Lawson MOA to click on. It's just not there.

To enable the Microsoft Excel Add-ins tab

___1 From the Excel menu bar, click File > Options.

___2 Click the Add-ins tab.

___3 From the Manage drop-down list, select COM Add-ins then click Go.

___4 On the COM Add-ins dialog box, select Lawson MOA then click OK.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Is your Office install 64 bit? The install needs to match the Office install, not necessarily the OS install. Our OS is 64 bit, but our Office is 32 bit. We install the 32 bit MOAs.

Our office is 2016 - but no idea about the 32 vs 64. I will check that now. Thank you.

edit: So I have Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016. How do I tell whether it is 64 or 32?

Aha - I just looked in Excel, Account, About Excel. Yup. 32bit.

That was it!! THANK YOU!!! Did a case on this and Infor was of absolutely NO use.

Make sure you install 32 bit I did same thing first time and installed 64 bit. After uninstalling make sure to reboot PC too. we had to reboot to clear everything out just uninstalling would not work.

We are also running Windows 10 64 bit. 64 bit MOA would not work, but 32 bit MOA does. Have been running it for over a year with no issues.

I think when we did a 10 install we ran Office 2016 -64bit, with MOA64.exe (version 10.0.7.199) and also had to install MS visual studio 2010 Tools runtime (this was needed to display the Ribbon)

we've had that happen before too. Either the solution was in EXCEL to click on Options, then Add-ins, Manage Add-ins and GO then there's check box to turn on and off which show up.

Another work around was to navigate to the directory and double click .xla to run it but the newer versions are not this extension so maybe its something else in there; old way was to Navigate to C:Program FilesLawson SoftwareOffice Add-ins then Double click on QueryWizard.xla

last thought, it might be a security issue; try running as an Admin.

All, as I indicated a few posts up, the issue was due to using the wrong bit version - we have the 32-bit version of Office, so we needed the 32-bit version of the Addins. It installed perfectly.
