We are upgrading PCs to Windows 10 64 bit but cannot run Crystal Designer 2011 or 2013. Crystal will attempt to open, but then we just get an error "Crystal Reports has stopped working". Clicking OK closes the dialog box and Crystal closes.
The same happens with Windows 7 64 bit but Crystal 2011 will run on Windows 7 32 bit.
Infor support suggested uninstalling Crystal 2013 and installing Crystal 2008 on the Windows 10 PC. Crystal 2008 does run on Windows 10, but is not supported by SAP and we have published reports written using Crystal 2011 that will be stepped on if we revert back to Crystal 2008. The only other suggestion Infor support had was to rename a directory under "aspnet_client" , but I had found the same article and it applied to the runtime version of Crystal under Visual Studio and not to the designer.
Has anyone successfully installed and run Crystal 2011 or 2013 on Windows 7 64 bit or Windows 10 64 bit?
If so, how did you install it and get it to run?
Thanks in advance.
