Add ItemUpdate Variables

We are wanting to use the ItemUpdate trigger for notifications, and we want to add the Item Description to the variables. Where do we need to add this variable so we can include it in the notification?

In Rich Client you can go to Service Definitions open up ItemUpdate and the go to the variables tab and create it there. I have never done this before, but I would assume you would have to use a variable name that is the same as the DB field definition. Probably ITE-DESCRIPTION.

We tried that, but it gives us "Error evaluating expression: ITE_DESCRIPTION".

You could do a Sql query in your flow and grab the description.

I did that and got the information I needed, but was looking for something simpler. I didn't want to have to run a query each time, but it does work though.
