Is there a way I can dispose of several thousand assets in Lawson Asset management (version 10.0.7)

Is there a way I can dispose of several thousand assets in Lawson Asset management (version 10.0.7) by uploading through Excel-addins to AM45.1?

I would like to flag the assets to dispose of by uploading them to Am45.1 (instead of having to manually going through and selecting them on AM45) and then running the AM145 job.

Has anyone used excel-addins to select assets for disposal?

You should be able to use the Position To field in your add-in to position to each line to add the select flag for each asset. Check out KB 1198232 on using that field.

I don't think you want to upload directly to AM45. What you should do is create an asset list on MX10 and upload the assets to that. Then you use AM45 to select that list of assets and run the AM145.

Thanks for the response! Do I have to upload an asset list on AM23.4 to link to MX10? I don't see where I can load into MX10 directly.

You would create the list on MX10 and then your upload would be against AM23.4.
