Possible to rename an Accounting Unit?

Is it possible to rename (change description) of a GL accounting unit but keep the same number?

Yes, you can change the description on GL20.

Yes, GL00.1 &/OR GL00.3

Accounting Units are updated in GL20; General Ledger Accounts are changed in GL00; names can be changed in both, while leaving the numbers the same.

Yes - can rename without issue, but remember that the 'historical' description will also change. That is, if you run a report for 'last year' when it was the 'OldName' accounting unit, it will no longer read 'OldName.' We generally do not rename accounting units unless there has been no balance or activity for at least two years.
