BSI Tax Messages - delete

Curious what process others have in place for deleting old messages from BSI? How long do you retain them? Do you dump them before deleting? Can this be done safely while Lawson is running?

We keep at least six months. We don't dump before deleting. We do no take down Lawson when deleting. We do not do it while payroll is running.

Our Oracle DBA team uses a script that deletes out messages on a rolling month basis. It is completed nightly at 9pm.
