Has anyone applied the BSI Tax Factory Canada Bulletin 37 and run a 2018 pay yet? We have found that BSI is now taking the annual max amount of $179.25 as a company paid tax deduction on every payment. If an employee has 2 payments, there are 2 $179.25 company tax deductions. So the company would be paying $179.25 times your number of pays per year per employee per payment.
CRA has confirmed that the $179.25 maximum is correct, but we are now working with BSI to get their programming corrected.
Last year's maximum was $176.70/employee and it was only applied to the first payment of the pay period. For us, this was $7.36/employee/pay date.
