AP Batch Release

We have recently inplemented 9.0.1.9/10, and are now experiencing intermittent issues when we try and release AP Batches (AP25).

On the original batch, when we try and release it, we get the message:
Batch Release in Progress
but it never goes away.

It isn't that big a deal really, as all we do to circumvent this, is to copy the Invoices to a new Batch, and then it releases successfully. We obviously then need to clean up the relevant batch record from the APMONITOR Table, and then the Users are able to use the Batch # again as well.

As it is intermittent, and across all AP Clerks, there doesn't seem to be any specific situation why this is happening, so trying to tie this down is somwhat hard!

Lawson have suggested re-compiling the program in debug mode when it happens again, then process the Release again, but I wondered whether anyone has eperienced this before, or has any other options/ideas to solve this issue.

These are the worst! I had a similar problem many years ago, ver 7.3 I think. I hardly recall the details anymore. After an upgrade, there was a blank in a new field added to an IC table by the upgrade. On the setup screen IC0x, blank wasn't one of the selections. We had intermittent problems for months.

We found and fixed the problem almost accidently. Tabbing through a IC0x screen, I noticed a field populated with a default value, just by tabbing through the field. I asked a business user set a value in that field. After that, the problem just went away.
