GL Detail reporting to Directors

I'm in IT and being asked if Infor Lawson GL (we are on msp 10.0.7 and lsf 10.0.9) can support emailing Directors their Monthly GL Detail.
I'm trying to gather more detailed information but wanted to go ahead and reach out if their is functionality within Infor that can do this.

We use LBI for this. One report is an 'RW' report that shows budget vs. actual. Two other reports are Crystal: (1) inventory issues month-to-date, year-to-date, three (four?) year trend with item detail (2) AP detail by GL Acctg Unit/Account with link back to Infor Lawson drill-around and another link to OnBase Doc Imaging. Reports use LBI Rights to present only the data that each department manager has when they view the report.

We use LBI to deliver a variety of monthly reports to managers, directors and VPs. We produce a responsibility summary (budget vs actual and prior year) and a transaction detail report which shows all transactions that hit an AU-Account combination. For AP, PO and IC detail we provide a link to the MM80 and MM280 which allows drill around and access to invoice images via the URL document link back to ImageNow imaging. The Supply Chain and HR/PR groups also provide copies of key reports to the same group. Access is maintained via LBI rights and a custom table so that each person only sees what they are approved to see.

I don't know of any functionality in GL that can send an email. The closest you can get is using RW100 report distribution, distribution groups, and processing groups to run RW100s and have them show up in the user's print managers. But depending on how your security is set up, the users may not be able to get it in Excel format and it would be Lawson format or PDF only. Otherwise, you will probably need to look at LBI or possibly Birst or another reporting tool. IPA might be able to do it too.

I know this question wasn't directed at me but thought I would provide this attachment I received from a trainer that was from some other work he had completed to link for Onbase integration. We just use it with HR scanned documents at this time and built a config console button in Rich Client for link.

We did need to work with our Onbase support staff and vendor for assistance to get the 'doc pop' to work within Onbase.

Any chance you would be willing to share the tables/logic you have for the responsibility summary and detail?

Do you then have some table to identify/maintain who is Director of each department in order to have reports 'burst' and distribute? I'm guessing our reporting team would want to pull the data via ssrs reporting

Our AP detail reports was done in Crystal. We have a hyperlink tied to the invoice number that links to OnBase using the "docpop" functionality that Annette mentioned. This is the formula:

Our responsibility reports are built in LBI using RW100: "back office report" published in LBI. It's ugly, and it's been ugly since 2001, but the data is there. It uses LBI rights. Since we upgraded from eBroadcasting to LBI, we need to run the back office report, verify that it's in LBI, then run the 'schedule' in LBI which (in this case) only sends an email with a link to users. There is no way to make the LBI schedule kick off the back office report. That was functionality that they threw away when moving from eBroadcasting. Ahhhh... the good ole days!
