Accurate Effective Date for Employee Work Assignment

I am trying to find a way to get the Effective date of an action taking place in GHR.  In S3, there is a distinct effective date that an action took place.  I can see in the audit history the information I want, but I can't find a table to pull the effective dates.  S_EMPWA has the dates, but does not contain the "Tag" or "Employee Action" that was the cause of the change on effective date.

What additional table should I be looking at?

I believe they are in the xml in S$EMPWA Table. All the changes to fields that aren't in the base S_EMPWA table are located here in buried in the XML.

The tag should be there in the main string for each action.
