Employee/Manger Space (LTM) work doesn't save if timeout is hit

Anyone using LTM Employee/Manager Space...

If you are in process of starting a note, discipline, eval, etc and you hit a timeout, when you reactivate your session, your 'work' is gone... lost.

Support says this is working as designed.

Not LTM, but out users have the same complaint. Refer to enhancement request 9223. It didn't work this way in v901.

You have two options now to help mitigate this issue:

1. Increase your server-side timeout setting. The default is 15 minutes. Maybe increase to 60 minutes.

2. Enable the security "client-side timeout warning" feature. This is similar to banking websites warning you that your session is about to expire in n minutes. This feature will prompt users with a warning after no activity and 5 minutes before a timeout and ask to keep your session alive before it times out. (this of course doesn't work if you walk away. in this case, train your users to save before leaving.)

These two items should help considerably.

The Landmark Web UI team is assessing the feature enhancement to store off unsaved work and somehow maintain it for users through a timeout scenario. This would be done in version 11 only and in the new SoHo Xi UI due out later in 2018.
