I am a newly hired IT Software Manager for a company using Visual ERP. We are currently on version 8 and will be upgrading to 9 within a few months. We own licensing for both Crystal and Synoptix with Crystal being used much more heavily. There are hundreds of Crystal reports which the users depend on and view with the free viewer. We own a couple of licenses for Crystal development. In regards to Synoptix, it is not widely used and we have approximately 10 licenses. I know there are great capabilities here but we just haven't made the time to make full use of Synoptix. Then there is SSRS ... which we are not using but would consider this if it makes sense. What is working as far as reporting goes for the rest of you? Do we need Crystal and Synoptix? Is there one reporting tool that will meet all our needs (dashboard, scheduling, drill-down capability, etc.)?
