Lawson Add-ins Purchase/installation

We are investigating (looking for $) purchasing MS Add-ins. I'm looking for some guidance on how easy/difficult the original installation is on the server side and desktop. Is this something we should be able to do ourselves or do we need to budget $ for third-party assistance?

It has been awhile, but I don't recall installing anything for the server, just a quick install for the desktop. I can send you our install guide if you give me your email address.

The only setup that might be tricky is if you create a separate url for the add-ins. In v9, we used the same url as logging in to portal. In v10 it is separated. My understanding is that this provides protection against someone creating a runaway query and bringing down the system. With a separate url, the runaway query would only bring down add-ins. I understand this only theoretically and can not provide further guidance or details. I just know that we had a problem with them initially that took going back and forth with Infor Support several times before the issue was resolved.
