Human Capital Management vs Global HR

What is the difference between HCM & Global HR? Are these two different names for the same thing or are they two separate products? If separate, do they work independently or is one a prerequisite for the other?

Good question. I think it depend on who you talk to and how long they've been around.



My response is my opinion and may not reflect Infor Lawson's stance. I've named S3 the classic version. That is not any official name I've ever heard from Infor Lawson.



For instance, we run Lawson HCM products but only with the S3(classic) products. GHR (Landmark) is the newer, go-forward to the future, Lawson HR product. Currently, if you run payroll in Lawson, you have to have the S3 product for that so you need both. My understanding is that Lawson is working on the Payroll in the GHR set of products. It is also my understanding that is the last module that needs to be made public for GHR to be a complete package. Very exciting stuff.
