This is actually a two part question:
I've created a custom Boolean field on the Employee Bus Class to default to false. However, I would like it to default to true if the employee is a supervisor. I don't want them to be different fields.
Second part is: I currently have the field "hidden" from supervisors but want it to display, but Display
In summary:
Would like this one field to default to True if a supervisor and not allow them to change it but to see it.
Would like the field to default to False if NOT a supervisor and DO allow them to change it.
I do custom security also, so I'm not sure if that's the route I would have to take or not. I don't think I've every secured a custom field.
This group really helped out in getting a conditional field set up to "hide" this field from managers, but now HR thinks it should be visible to them.
Also, does anyone know of configuration classes that would be helpful? I do basic configs, new fields, defaulting to forms, modifying lists, forms, etc. but there is much more I need to know. I would appreciate any suggestions.
