Not sure if anyone can assist with helping me understand this but thought it was worth a shot.
We did our annual performance evaluations on LTM v 10 last year.
This year we are on v11.0
We are running Windows OS 2008 and landmark 10.1
Two weeks we had performance issues and had to have AMS do restarts to clear issue. They didn't know what caused it.
Last week our Turnover cube refresh failed and Support said it was because of a down node, yet they were all up/running.
AMS added additional heap for that node. While trying to understand all of that, it was noted we should add memory to our server. We can't... OS 2008 can only allocate 32gb
Tradition had been memory not exceeding 50% per our server support team.
Memory had reached 95%.. we didn't have performance issues but had to restart for the heap changes. Following the restart, memory went to 54% and the Turnover cube refreshes completed without issue.
Daily since Friday it just continues to grow. It NEVER decreases.
We did a restart again last night. It had been at 89% and I didn't want chance of performance issues today. About 5% increase each day
Following restart, memory was back down to 60%
My experience with other systems is the memory will go up the more users/processes and that is understandable but then it also decreases when users/processes end connections and such.
My concern is a memory leak of sorts. I have never had support of a system where the memory only increases.
Can anyone shed light on this for me?
I know we should update to OS 2012 but that is unbudgeted expense so I am working on that as we have to have consulting services to do it.
On that note, if anyone is aware if it would be any issue to have Landmark on 2012 but keep LSF on 2008 (payroll integration).. I wouldn't think there would be an issue but Lord knows I have been wrong trying to figure out Infor in the past
Thanks for anyone who offers feedback.
