ACA Rejected xml

A replacement file was rejected by the IRS. We need to submit another replacement to the IRS. Do we connect it to the IRS Receipt ID of the rejected original or the rejected replacement?

If your original file contained only 1 submission, then do not send a replacement. Send it as an original file.

If your original file contained multiple submissions, then send the replacement using the original Receipt ID.

But it's a replacement of a replacement - you use the replacement Receipt ID

I think we found that we had to use the original receipt ID but I have to admit it is a blur at this point because it was a nightmare, once again.

Maybe it works either way - I can see through 2016 BN299 correction by RE that I used last year that I used the replacement ID and the corrections were accepted. Maybe it doesn't matter one whit?
