PR05.1 Deduction - use Process Rule?

Hi - does anyone utilize Process Rule 1-Process 1x per pay period on their PR05.1 deductions in addition to having deduction cycles checked? We have some of our deductions set up this way, and it appears to be causing some issues. I'm curious if most just utilize deduction cycles to control when a deduction should be taken?

We have some of ours set up that way to prevent flat amount deductions from coming off a second time when processing a manual payment.

We do the same as Margie for the same reason. Only with flat amount deductions, particularly with 401k and 457b.

I'm glad you asked this question - I never even noticed that field was there. I found 2 KB articles that contain interesting tidbits about how this field functions and might give a clue to why you are experiencing issues with it.
