Cross_Reference Table in ION Desk Mapping

Does anyone know if it is possible to build a Cross-Reference table for a Mapping document? I'm trying to create a Process.CustomerPartyMaster BOD from a CSV and there is a value in a column that refers to a PriceType. I have the cross-reference table as a CSV where if the "group_id" equals 4, the "PriceType" will equal TGXS (our infor PriceType). I want to pass the value TGXS into a UserArea field on the Process.CustomerPartyMaster BOD. Unfortunately I don't XSLT very well, but I'll be working on trying to learn it, and in the mean time I'm wondering if this is even possible through the mapping section of ION Desk.

Also, is there a way to add more than 1 UserArea field value? I only see the one UserArea section and the "name" and "value" options below that.

Hey Trevor,

You could accomplish this in one of a couple of ways.

First option is to use Choose function packaged within the function editor. From here, you can orchestrate how you'd like to build out your conditional logic and make the selection that something like group_id should be pumping out 'TGXS' and not '4'.

The second option is to use XSLT and a custom UDF and leverage xsl:choose to determine what to test and output. Whipped up a quick gif for you to provide you a quick demonstration of how to accomplish this. I've also added in a quick detour to show you how to add in additional UDF parameters (+ icon in the bottom right of a UDF) and how to delete those same parameters (since I don't need them).

I did look at using the 'Choose' function, but I was confused as to how to get the data sets available to be placed in each "anyType" selector. I'm assuming those would be fields from a source document?

Thank you for the quick XSLT tutorial!! I may go down this route as I'll need to do it for another cross reference table.

As a side note, does Infor have any documentation on the specifics of the Mapper and all the available functions?

Given the complexity of your business case, I might venture to say it's easier to use a UDF in this case. The benefit here is you're also able to save your UDF as a Global UDF and re-use this functionality in other functions both in the same mapping as well as other mappings.

ION Desk User Guide's chapter 5, I believe, has all of the mapper documentation available. It doesn't go into a lot of depth on functions but because we use Saxonica for XSLT processing, you can find documentation on our packaged functions via Saxonica's documentation portal @ www.saxonica.com/.../choose.html

Thank you for the information! I'll have to read through the documentation you provided. I am definitely not a programmer, but I'm struggling my way through trying to get a document flow with custom mapping completed.

After I created a mapping based off of the tutorial you provided, the files that I'm trying to process go directly into an error folder I have setup for the document flow. Do you know where I can find log information as to why a file errored out?
