Talent Management Data Dictionary with Mappings...the Unicorn
sivac
Hello. We are currently using Lawson S3 9.0.1 for HR, Payroll, Materials Management, and Finance and are planning to move HR to Lawson Talent Management(aka LTM).
The attached document TMDocs_11.0.0.0_External has the TMTableDefinitions_10.2.0.7-11.0.0.0 which is helpful because I want to take all the custom crystal reports our end users utilize in S3 and recreate them in LTM. I'm thinking we can use the newly created reports as a way to test the functionality of the new system BUT I'm struggling to know how to map the S3 tables with the new LTM tables (aka business classses).
Any advise? When I look at the TMDocs file and it looks like the Employee table is still called the Employee table in LTM, is that correct? If so, all the fields are still there and there are just new fields being added? I doubt it's that simple.
Just curious about how to do the mappings and I think the sooner I can get these tables mapped from old to new will help our company with making decisions on org structure and best practices for how to incorporate processes that are being "shudder" done manually, along with assist in testing.
I feel like I'm looking for a unicorn in a windstorm. Sigh. Any advise is appreciated.
Thank you,
Sarah

Okay, I just looked at the TMTableDefinitions_11.0.0.0 document and this helps a little bit more BUT I'll still need to take the S3 table and map it to the LTM tableusiness class. Glad to find it.

Hi Sarah,
Moving from S3 to TM is definately not that easy. Yes, there is an "Employee" table, but the fieldnames are different, and many of the fields have been moved to separate related tables (address, phone, email, ssn, etc). Also, there is no "PAEMPLOYEE" table in TM.
I'm not sure how you are planning to do the data conversion into TM from S3, or who will be doing it, but those mapping documents are what you will need to know what is going where.
Sorry I can't give you much help beyond that. This is a gigantic topic.
Good Luck!
Kelly
