Alternate to Altova XMLSpy 2018 for XML validation

Hi,

I used Altova XMLSpy 2018 to validate our BN299 XML file before uploading it to the IRS. I found the software easy to use and very helpful in identifying issues with the data. Now that the software trial period is over, I am looking for other similar software to compare it with. Are there any recommendations? Thanks!

I just use Notepad's free XML software and it works fine for me.
