CSI - Custom BOD Processing In Inbox

Hello,

Infor CSI

We have a Custom Replication Document defined and it is successfully transmitting data to ION where we have the document flows defined.

We now need to be able to receive back that document and update accordingly.

We have a Document Flow in ION that is successfully getting the Process BOD into the CSI Replication Document Inbox. However the documents are not marked processed.

On the Replication Document we have defined a Replication Document Inbound Cross-Reference for the Process Verb.
In the Ins Upd Del Overrides we have defined an UPD Method that is attached to the IDO.

What I am looking for are ways to troubleshoot where things are breaking down.
How do I know if the Inbox Document is even being attempted to be processed?
What steps can I take to troubleshoot?

Log monitor has been helpful for me in situations like this. I would turn off the 3 replication services, start log monitor, filter it on "INB", start your inbound bus service, then see if you have any errors.

Next I would filter on "REPL" then start the other 2 services and look for errors.

Since the document is showing in the CSI Replication Document Inbox, doesn't that mean it has already successfully traversed the services?

I don't think so. ION puts it in the inbox in an unprocessed state. The services process them.

Since you're using a custom Update Override method you could include custom log messages in your code.

Yep, correct. ION will insert records into CSI' COR_INBOX_* tables but does not necessarily indicate that local services have processed the message.

Thanks to all that replied. I followed Nick's tips with the log monitor. I was getting no errors for INB or REPL.

I then realized that my Connection Point defined in ION didn't match the logical id of CSI. I changed my Document Flow to use the right connection point and the Inbox Documents being sent are now being processed.
