HR511 - EMPLOADCSV / EMPOUTCSV

Has anyone ever tried to use the error file created from the HR511 (EMPOUTCSV) to correct errors and reload with the HR511? We are trying to load new hires using the HR511 and finding that the error file that is created is not the same layout as the EMPLOADCSV. EMPLOADCSV expects 245 columns and the EMPOUTCSV file that is created from HR511 is 249 columns. This becomes very difficult to use for an error correction process that we are trying to put into place. Thinking it's a bug but curious to see what others are experiencing.

Hi Deanna, I have not tried this, but if someone asked me to, the first thing I would do would be to get the file layouts for EMPLOADCSV and EMPOUTCSV from a compile listing or bldsh of HR511, cut and paste them into excel, and compare them to find the differences and determine if the EMPOUTCSV could be massaged into a usable file.

I used this to load about 800 employees and it works. I agree with Deanna you need the file layouts for it to work. I can share with you the layout that I used. email me eokoth@uhhg.org

I would just copy the original HR511 upload file, eliminate all but the error records, fix the errors and use that for HR511.
