ACA Correction File Error

We are receiving the below error when trying to send our correction file. I haven't really been able to find any information on what we need to change to correct the issue. Has anyone else received this error and what did you do? We are following the same steps for a correction that we followed last year and did not have any issues.

We are getting this error on our correction file as well. I have an incident open with Infor and have been trying to get assistance with this for over 3 weeks. I called the IRS on Friday and was told that the CorrectedUniqueRecordId we are passing is correct but that we are missing a CorrectedUniqueSubmissionId. Infor just updated my incident about an hour ago and said that the CorrectedUniqueSubmissionId would only show up for 1094 corrections, not 1095. I'm not really sure where to go from here... I would be interested if anyone else has worked through this error! Thanks!

Note that the original file that you sent must have been 'Accepted' or 'Accepted with errors' in order for you to send a correction. If it was 'Rejected', a correction file won't work.

For corrections:

For example, this is a CorrectedUniqueRecordid from a 1095 correction detail file:

<CorrectedUniqueRecordId>1094C-xx-yyyyyyyy|1|441</CorrectedUniqueRecordId>

1094C-xx-yyyyyyyy is the IRS receipt id of the original record that you are correcting

The |1| ( between the pipes ) is the original submission id that is in your original detail file where it appears as:

<SubmissionId>1</SubmissionId>. It will always be '1' unless your original file contained multiple submissions ( multiple EINs ).

The 441 is the record id of the individual within the submission id.

When you enter the selection criteria in BN97, you need to enter the receipt id. The program displays the submission id and record id for the selected individual that you are correcting. When you run BN299 and specify the receipt id, the xml detail file should contain the CorrectedUniqueRecordid for that individual. If it doesn't, you may be able to manually correct it, but then you'll have to recalculate the checksum in the manifest file and also change the UniqueTransmissionID (if you've sent the same file previously).

Our original file was partially accepted and we had 3 errors. I assumed we would do a correction since it was partially accepted.

We have to send for 2 different EIN's. One of ours was accepted with errors and the other was partially accepted. Would you say that those are considered accepted or do we have to provide the corrections? THis is what I found on the IRS website:

Partially-Accepted (IRS has successfully processed the transmission (accepted and rejected one or more

submissions contained in the transmission): An XML Error Data file or MTOM encoded attachment may

or may not be included)

o No fatal errors were identified while processing the transmission metadata

o At least one submission within the transmission was accepted (with or without errors)

o At least one submission within the transmission was rejected as unusable data (exceeded threshold)

• Accepted with Errors (IRS has successfully processed and accepted the transmission with some errors:

An XML Error Data file or MTOM encoded attachment is included containing the details)

• Not Found (The Receipt ID or the UTID in the request was not found: No XML Error Data
